How do I apply for a course?

Application forms for all courses are available online.

Is Canada College accredited?

Canada College is an inspected independent school. It is accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

Canada College's School Number is: 665894. Courses are transferable to any Ontario high school.

What you get when you finish?

Students earn Ontario high school credits for a diploma.

These credits can be used for university entrance requirements.

Who can take Canada College courses?

Anyone with the necessary prerequisite(s) can enroll at Canada College. Most of our students are from public and private schools.

Pre-requisites are required to enroll in specific courses. Canada College accepts international students.

Who are the teachers?

All Canada College teachers are certified with the Ontario College of Teachers.

Our teachers have extensive teaching experience in schools and online.

The type of material you will cover?

Canada College courses are designed using approved Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum.

Our experienced teachers and instructional designer create interactive, academically rich courses.

How you will learn?

Students learn and interact with classmates and the teacher in a virtual environment. You can access courses anytime, anywhere.

How you will be assessed?

Teachers use Ontario Ministry of Education expectations for evaluation and assessment.

Students are assessed on term work, tests, projects, assignments, portfolios and a final exam completed in our classroom.

When do the courses begin and end?

Registrations are accepted year round. Students complete courses within 16 weeks.

When can you expect to complete a course?

Students are expected to complete within 16 weeks or 4 months from the registration date.

What computer hardware and operating system are required?

Internet access
Pentium 100 or better computer
28.8 modem
8X (multi-speed) CD-ROM

16 bit sound card/speakers
32 meg. RAM
15" Super VGA monitor

What computer skills do you need?

Word processing, emailing, sending attachments, and using Internet browsers.

Microsoft Office and/or Star Office would meet the requirement.

How are courses presented.

Content is relevant, well-organized and presented in an interesting manner.

Course materials are frequently updated.

Do I need to send my transcripts?

Official transcripts must be sent directly to Canada College.

Transcript must contain school stamp or emboss.

Do you offer financial aid?

Exceptional students with leadership and/or community involvement are awarded the Canada College scholarship.

Do you accept international students?

We welcome students from all over the world. International students can complete their high school program to get an Ontario high school diploma.

Canada College credit courses are recognized by Canadian and American universities.

Will you have to wait a long time for someone to get back to me?

No. Every teacher responds to student's questions and/or concerns within a 24 hour timeframe.

Our support and administrative staff are ready to answer your questions, all year long. We are here to serve you.

Can you take more than one course at a time?

Yes. Students registered full time in a day school may take two courses during a semester.

Students NOT registered full time in a day school may enroll in more Canada College courses.

Can you take the same course online and in a school at the same time?

Students may NOT enroll in the same course at two different institutions.

Will you receive an official Canada College transcript?

At the completion of each course students will receive a report card from Canada College.

A copy of this report card is submitted to the Ontario Ministry of Education.

Is there a way to check to see if Canada College received my application?

You should receive an email confirming your application within 2 working days.

How do I withdraw from a course?

Students who wish to withdraw from a course must do so in writing to their teacher and the coordinator (email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). To avoid academic penalties students must withdraw before the 8th week of the course.

The processing of applications and assement of requirement are costly and time consuming. Under normal circumstances NO REFUNDS are provided.

In a few special cases, the refund may be returned to the applicant, if determined to be appropriate by the Principal. In such a case, there will be a $100 administration processing fee applied.
